Good news! According to reports, Chicago Bears legend Steve McMichael is getting better after spending the last week in the hospital due to an infection.

Misty McMichael, McMichael’s wife, verified the development. It is hoped that the NFL legend would be able to travel home by Tuesday, Misty also told Associated Press.

What a rough guy he is. His DNA is distinct and he is a Mongo! Don’t stop praying! I’m grateful. stated Misty.

In light of serious concerns regarding Steve McMichael’s health, this is undoubtedly wonderful news. Remember that on Thursday, he was admitted to the hospital for what was initially believed to be pneumonia. Later on, the diagnosis of urinary tract infection was made.

However, once the Bears star apparently contracted an infection while in the hospital, things became worse for him. The issue is that the type of staph infection he had, MRSA, is resistant to several antibiotics, making treatment challenging. The fact that McMichael required a blood transfusion added to the concern.

“We kindly request that you pray for Steve McMichael. He’s heading to the emergency room.

Thankfully, based on the most recent information, it appears McMichael has successfully fought off the sickness and is now making a full recovery. Remarkably, McMichael was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame barely a week before he was admitted to the hospital.

In the coming days, further information regarding McMichael’s health should become available. I’m hoping he’ll be able to return home as soon as possible.
