Russell Wilson, the new quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, will talk to a sizable group of boy basketball players at RIZE Sports in Leetsdale on Tuesday.

That evening, players will be rehearsing for the underclassmen games, which serve as a prelude to the senior all-star games of the Roundball Classic, which will take place at North Allegheny High School in McCandless from Thursday through Sunday of next week.

Wilson will start his speech at 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend this free program.

College coaches are anticipated to attend, and there will be prizes, music, and social media presence.

Over 150 freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will compete in underclassmen games at North Allegheny on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday of next week.

Next Sunday at 8 p.m. is the “main game” of the Rising Stars Challenge.

WPIAL, City League, and District 10 players will participate in the Roundball Classic and underclassmen competitions.

KDKA is going to televise games for the first time.

Adults pay $10 for a one-day admission to the Roundball, while youngsters only pay $5. A $20 weekend pass is available.
